What if the Backup Folder Doesn’t Exist?

If the Backup folder is missing when you open the MobileSync folder, it means no iTunes backup has been created on your computer yet. To fix this:

  1. Connect any iPhone to the computer.
  2. Start a backup process in iTunes (you don’t need to complete the entire backup).
  3. This will automatically create the Backup folder.

Once the folder is created, you can drop your iTunes backup into it.

  2. Click on the small phone icon at the top left of the iTunes window.

Step 3: Restore the Backup

  1. Click Restore Backup and select the backup you added to the iTunes backup file path.
  2. If you have multiple backups, identify the correct one by checking the date the backup was created.
